Carbo-BioCrop hosted a dissemination meeting 4th February

Mar 6, 2015

As the Carbo-BioCrop project is ending, we are proud to announce a successful dissemination event which was held in London recently. Stakeholders were invited from across the country, from a wide array of companies, governmental departments and research institutions. Invited guests were treated to an overview of the project’s findings. A discussion of how our findings relate to the non-academic world was encouraged as this is a fundamental aspect of our work: how can our research inform policy making?

In Westminster, stakeholders heard presentations by Professor Iain Donnison, Professor Gail Taylor, Dr Niall McNamara, Dr Gary Bending, Dr Saran Sohi, Dr Goetz Richter and Dr Rob Holland. The day covered findings on taking measurements, improving measurements, improving carbon sequestration and modelling and mapping for Great Britain.

The meeting was preceded by the final project meeting on the 3rd February, where progress over 2014 and the final steps in the project were discussed. CBC partners are preparing additional research papers and we will be updating the website with any outputs in due course. In the final meeting we heard about findings for all work packages and discussed how best to open our work up to a wide audience. Keep an eye on the CBC website for final outputs coming soon.
